Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus for supervisory capable of carrying out multi-screen supervision or the like of live images by a plurality of cameras, even if an auxiliary power switch is turned off. SOLUTION: The supervisory image recording apparatus is provided with an image data compression/decompression section 104 for compressing/decompressing supervisory image data; an HDD 107 for recording compressed image data; and a control section 130 for controlling the image data compression/decompression section 104 and the HDD 107, and the control section 130 has an HDD power supply control section 200 for controlling supply of power to the HDD 107.
