DISPLAY ELEMENT AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING THIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element which can improve color reproducibility with a simple structure and a display device using the same. SOLUTION: In the organic light-emitting element 10R, 10G, 10B, for example, a first electrode 15 as a positive electrode, an insulating membrane 16, an organic layer 17 including a luminous layer, and a second electrode 18 as a negative electrode are laminated in this order from the side of a substrate 11. The first electrode 15 is a semi-transmission electrode having semi-transmitting property to the light generated in the luminous layer, and a resonator structure for resonating the light generated in the luminance layer between the first electrode 15 and the second electrode 18 is constructed. It is not necessary to provide a multi-layer reflecting membrane or the like other than the first electrode 15 and the structure of the resonator can be made simple. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
