DATA EDITING DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL PROGRAM FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data editing device and a control method and control program therefor that can appropriately convert image data optically read from a document to a format editable on a general purpose document editing application. SOLUTION: A menu for starting a second application is added to a first application of the data editing device. When a user's operation of an input device selects the menu, the second application is started. The second application is used to convert data of a first format editable on the first application to data of a second format editable on the first application.
