IMAGE SELECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a plurality of images on an image selection screen. SOLUTION: Thumb nails P1, P2 and P3 of selectable images and execution buttons BT1 and BT2 are displayed on an image selection screen SC1. An operator touches a touch panel with his or her finger at the position of the thumbnail P1, and makes the finger slide while touching the touch panel with his or her, and then releases his or her finger from the touch panel. Then, the thumbnails P1 and P2 displayed so as to be overlapped on the locus of the change of the instructed position from the touch position where the operator touches the touch panel with his or her finger to the release position where the operator releases his or her finger from the touch panel are selected, and display is performed indicating that those thumbnails P1 and P2 have been selected. Then, when a slide show is started, the execution button BT1 is depressed, and the two thumbnails or images corresponding to the thumbnails are sequentially displayed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
