PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take in information about a purchased commodity via the Internet or the like. SOLUTION: In this network system, a database 3 stored with the information about the commodity 1 and a Web server 4 storing information about a register 2 are connected to the register 2 used when making settlement of money to the commodity 1 purchased by a customer and the Web server 4 and the Internet 7 are connected. In the network system, information about a receipt 2a when the customer purchases the commodity 1 and the information about the commodity 1 stored in the database 3 are brought together in the register 2a to form commodity information 2b, the commodity information 2b is stored in the Web server 4 such that the commodity information 2b can be transmitted via the Internet 7, and an access destination is inputted to the receipt 2a to acquire the commodity information 2b about the purchased commodity 1 via the Internet 7.
