Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in accuracy of air-fuel ratio control caused by an air-fuel ratio fluctuation caused in transition of activation in an exhaust emission control catalyst of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: When any of the cooling water temperature THW ≤ THWh ("NO" in S182), the upstream side exhaust temperature Texin ≤ Texh ("NO" in S184) or the downstream side exhaust temperature Texout ≤ Texh ("NO" in S186) is realized, "OFF" is set in a catalyst activation stable time flag Fcat as the air-fuel ratio varying timing (S194). Thus, air-fuel ratio feedback control is prohibited on the air-fuel ratio control processing side. Thus, even if the air-fuel ratio fluctuation is caused in the transition of activation, since a detecting value of an air-fuel ratio sensor is prevented from having influence on the air-fuel ratio feedback control, reduction in accuracy of the air-fuel ratio control can be prevented.
