THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which exhibits excellent recording sensitivity and long-term oil resistance in a recording section, restrains texture fogging during preservation even under high temperature and also exhibits excellent blank preservability. SOLUTION: In the thermal recording material having in order on a support an undercoating layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive, and a thermal recording layer comprising a leuco dye, a coloring agent and an adhesive, an organic nitrogen-containing compound of 0.1 to 10 mass% with respect to the all solid content of the undercoating layer is contained in the undercoating layer, and the coloring agent is N-p-toluene sulfonyl-N'-3-(p-toluene sulfonyloxy)phenyl urea.
