Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyester resin and a formed article thereof which can satisfy a performance class that the standard amount of formaldehyde release as defined in "Japanese Agricultural Standards of Plywood" is in "the top grade (mean value 0.3 mg/L, maximum 0.4 mg/L)", by effectively reducing the amount of formaldehyde release to a lower level than before. SOLUTION: The unsaturated polyester resin composition comprises an unsaturated polyester resin comprising an unsaturated polyester whose acid component comprises 30-70 mol% of an ortho-phthalic acid and/or an anhydride thereof and styrene, and an acetylacetone peroxide.
