Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid arcking between the donor roll and the image receptor in a hybrid jumping developing (HJD) and hybrid scavengerless developing (HSD) used in the electrophotographic technology. SOLUTION: A series of test patches are made by increasing the AC amplitude Vdac across the gap, when setting up the printer, and the reflectivity changes Δref of the patch groups are measured to the AC amplitude. These changes generate largely differences, depending on the size of the gap. The actual gap size is estimated from these differences.
