DATA PROCESSOR AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor and a data processing method which can efficiently store images using a small memory capacity. SOLUTION: In this data processor, image data supplied through an image input/output unit 15 is stored in an internal memory unit 70 or an external memory device. A memory unit 50 comprises a data processing section, in which the image data supplied through the image input unit is processed and a memory section, and the image data processed in the data processing section is stored in the memory section. As the image data supplied through the image input unit is stored in the memory unit, an image is quickly stored with high image quality and high definition. Since image data, after reduction of a data quantity, are stored in the memory section, images can be stored efficiently using a small memory capacity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
