Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective liquid crystal display element of excellent display quality which neither decreases in reflection factor nor increase in series-load resistance and is free of a flicker and sticking. SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display element 1 comprises a reflection electrode 3 made of Al on a surface of a substrate 2, a transparent substrate 5 where a transparent electrode 4 is formed of ITO, and a liquid crystal layer 6 inserted between the substrate 2 where the side of the transparent electrode 5 is arranged opposite the reflection electrode 3, and the transparent substrate 5, wherein the reflection electrode 3 is made of metal oxide having Al oxide nearby the surface of the Al so as to be ≤0.2 eV with respect to a work function of the transparent electrode 4.
