PRINT TRANSPORTING DEVICE WITH GRIPPING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print transporting device equipped with a gripping mechanism capable of lessening the number of folded leaves inside a carrier when an inconvenience such as jamming is generated, compacting the device, and saving the space. SOLUTION: The print transporting device is composed of the first carrier 10 provided at a certain spacing with at least two chains furnished with a plurality of first gripping mechanisms 11 and transporting the folded leaves F by the first gripping mechanisms to the first leaf handover part R2 from the first leaf reception part R1 downstream of a delivery fan D in compliance with the movement of the chains and the second carrier 20 structured so that at least one chain furnished with a plurality of second gripping mechanisms 24 is arranged between the chains of the first carrier in its section including from the first leaf reception part R1 to the first leaf handover part R2 and the folded leaves are received from the first gripping mechanism of the first carrier in the first folded leaf handover part R2 in compliance with the movement of the chains, and the two carriers are arranged to be started and stopped individually.
