Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high speed high definition recording with uniform pixel diameter by detecting and controlling the humidity of a recording sheet even if it is varied due to variation in environmental humidity. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer comprises an inkjet head 1 having a nozzle 3, and a humidity detecting means 10 for measuring the humidity of a recording sheet 8 and records an image on the recording sheet 8 by ejecting ink drops 9 from the nozzle 3. The humidity detecting means 10 is disposed between the recording sheet 8 and the surface 1a of the inkjet head 1 on the nozzle 3 side not in touch with the recording sheet 8.
