Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for perfectly disconnecting an electronic device from a power supply in order to stop power consumption through the electronic device when powered off. SOLUTION: The mechanism (100), which disconnects the electronic device from the power supply, includes a switch (102) controllable by a user, an electronic type controllable switch (104) for connecting the power supply to the electronic device, and a feedback mechanism (106) which turns on or off the electronic type controllable switch in response to the operation of the switch controllable by the user. This feedback mechanism includes a detection circuit (202) connected to the switch controllable by the user to detect its operation, and a control circuit connected to the electronic type controllable switch to turn it on or off in response to detection in the detection circuit to detect the operation of the switch controllable by the user.
