Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image wherein contrast or gradation properties intended by a user are excellently reproduced within a reproducible gradation range of an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: An image acquired by an imaging means is stored in an image memory 12. A region designating part 31 designates at least two photometric regions within the image on the basis of a user operation to an operating part 17. A photometric operation part 32 acquires an image from the image memory 12 and performs photometry on the photometric regions. An image processing part 22 comprises a γ processing part 41 and determines γ properties of γ processing applied to the image on the basis of at least two photometric results by the photometric operation part 32. The γ properties are determined so that an image component included in a white reference photometric region has a white reference value, an image component included in a gray reference photometric region has a gray reference value and an image component included in a black reference photometric region has a black reference value.
