SPEAKER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a cable connection work upon replacing the arrangements of both speaker units, in a speaker system having an active speaker unit and a passive speaker unit. SOLUTION: A speaker system is composed of a center unit 1 outputting an acoustic signal of two channels, an active speaker unit 2 connected to the center unit 1 through a system cable 5, and a passive speaker unit 3 connected to the active speaker unit 2 through a speaker cable 4. The active speaker unit 2 has a speaker 21 and a selector 7 replacing acoustic signals of two channels to be supplied to two output terminal portions 6 and 60 mutually. A control circuit 11 of the center unit 1 detects which of the output terminals 6 or 60 the speaker cable 4 is connected and controls the switchover of the selector 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
