JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint capable of simplifying a work to process and fasten a pipe which occupies the most part of a piping work, resulting in shortening of a working time, reduction of a labor and a cost, and decreasing a risk to leak fluid without being influenced by the degree of learning of skill of the work. SOLUTION: An O-ring or a packing and the like 3 situated at the cylindrical projection 2 of a joint element is airtightly connected to the inner surface 13 of a pipe, the outer surface 14 of the pipe is fixed by the protrusion 9 of a grip ring, and a joint element and the grip ring are formed integrally with each other through the inclining slide face 8 of a cap nut. This constitution causes airtight connection of the pipe and the joint on the inner surface of the pipe by the O-ring or a packing in case the pipe is inserted in the joint, the outer surface of the pipe is fixed by a slide type grip ring having a nail-form or key-form protrusion and formed integrally with a joint element by the cap nut making contact through an inclining slide surface. If the pipe is ready to slip out, the grip ring fastens the pipe further strongly through the working of an inclining slide surface, separation is prevented from occurring, and leakage of fluid is also prevented from occurring.
