MAINTENANCE METHOD OF PRINTER AND PRINTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient maintenance method of a print head which facilitates access to the print head, and a printer system to which the maintenance method can be applied. SOLUTION: A printer system (10) has a rotating drum (20) having a print medium supporting surface, a print head (32A) disposed adjacent to the supporting surface and attached to a print bar supporting structure (40), a print bar driving device (204) for moving the print bar supporting structure between a print position and a maintenance position along a first path, a print bar maintenance station (50) having print bar maintenance parts (52A-1 and 54A-1) for performing maintenance functions on the print head in the maintenance position, and a maintenance station position driving device (208) for moving the maintenance station between a rest position and the print bar maintenance position along an arc-shaped path (62).
