ELECTRIC CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector 10 having a structure of shells 16, 18 that can be simultaneously mounted with a connector body 20 without deforming and breaking the shells 16, 18 even by prying in fitting. SOLUTION: The electric connector 10 has the shells 16, 18. The shells 16, 18 are divided into two and comprise a plurality of contacts 14, a housing 12 for fixing/aligning the contacts 14, a fitting port 22 with a counterpart for covering the housing 12, and a plurality of terminal sections 32 mounted to a substrate 40. In the electric connector 10, one shell 16 is set to be nearly in a case and the shell 16 at the side of the fitting port 22 is set to be in an integral structure, an opening 23 that can accommodate the housing 12 is provided at the opposite side of the fitting port 22, the shell 18 is formed nearly in an L shape, and an arrangement is made so that fitting is made to the opening 23 of the shell 16.
