Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backstop mechanism having improved backstop performance without increasing the size by arranging wedge spaces alternately displaced in the axial direction and superposing at least a part of the wedge spaces in the circumferential direction. SOLUTION: A plurality of restriction spaces 80 each accepting the insertion of a rolling member 30 of a restriction member 8 are formed in 3 layers in the axial direction. The left and right restriction spaces 80 are arranged in the circumferential direction relatively to the middle restriction space 80' in the axial direction in a manner alternately displaced in the axial direction and are superposed in the circumferential direction. At least a part of each wedge space surrounded by an inner ring 23 and a plurality of cam faces 9c of an outer ring 9 is superposed in the circumferential direction by this arrangement. A free rotation region (α) of the rolling member 30 and a checking face β to restrict the rotation of the rolling member 30 are formed on the cam face 9c, and the rolling member 30 is pressed with a pressing member 81 against a restriction part 80a in the restriction space 80 and is placed on the outer circumference of the inner ring 23.
