BACKUP SYSTEM FOR BIOMETRIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup system for a biometric device capable of ensuring security when managing a building that needs security, without keeping out people who do necessary operations. SOLUTION: When the level of determination at which registered biological information is collated with reference biological information reaches a set threshold, entry is permitted; when the level does not reach the threshold but exceed a set lower limit value, a one-time password is issued from a management device according to an ID code. When the person carrying the one-time password inputs the one-time password and an ID code, a determination is made as to whether or not the person is identifiable. The one-time password is given as a combination of randomly chosen signs, and vanishes after a set period of time is elapsed from the time when it has been given. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
