MUSICAL PERFORMANCE ASSIST DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical performance assist device capable of obtaining an ad-lib-like musical performance output on which the playing intention of a player is reflected. SOLUTION: The musical performance assist device has an input means of inputting musical performance information to be corrected, a chord supply means of supplying a current chord, a 1st conversion means of converting 1st musical performance information inputted from the input means into 2nd musical performance information having the pitch difference between the root sound of the supplied chord and a specified degree, and a 2nd conversion means of converting the 1st musical performance information into 3rd musical performance information having the relative pitch difference from the last inputted musical performance information. Further, the musical performance assisting device has a pitch difference detecting means of detecting the pitch difference between the musical performance information inputted last from the input means and currently inputted musical performance information, and a conversion means selection means of making the 1st conversion means convert the 1st musical performance information when the detected pitch difference is 0 or 5 degrees and making the 2nd conversion means convert the 1st musical performance information when 1 to 4 degrees on condition that the 1st musical performance information is musical performance information which is inputted for the 1st time.
