SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for preparing the pravastatin sodium in a crystal state, comprises following steps, (a) preparing a solution containing pravastatin and sodium cation in a lower aliphatic alcohol (for example ethanol), (b) adding ethyl acetate to the solution, and (c) crystallizing the pravastatin sodium salt from the solution.
