Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing member for plastic bottle, capable of reinforcing a thin-walled plastic bottle, restraining the bottle's deformation, and in addition, of being repeatedly used. SOLUTION: The reinforcing member for plastic bottle reinforces the bottle by being removably externally mounted on the plastic bottle having, in sequence from above, a neck portion, body portion, and bottom portion, and is provided, in continuation, with a bottom portion support section 21 that supports the bottom portion of the bottle, a body portion reinforcing section 22 that supportingly encloses the body portion of the bottle, and a neck portion engaging section 23 that is capable of being engaged with the neck portion of the bottle, while the body portion reinforcing section 22 can be extended and contracted in the direction of the center line 25 of an imaginary cylinder surface 24 capable of encasing the body portion 4.
