Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbe-used air filter of an air purifier, which is constituted simply and is manufactured at a low cost, the deodorizing effect of which is improved, which purifies air and keeps the deodorizing effect over a long period of time and labor, time and expenses are reduced when this filter is maintained. SOLUTION: This air filter 1A is obtained by enclosing two or more carriers 3, each of which is obtained by depositing a microbe for decomposing a causative substance of the bad smell on a small porous woody piece, in a bag-shaped dish towel 5 while leaving a space among them and forming the carrier-enclosed towel into a belt-like shape. The microbe is activated by supplying moisture in such a state that the air filter 1A is mounted in the air purifier 2A so that the activated microbe captures fine particles in the passing air and decomposes the causative substance of the bad smell.
