BALL CATCHING IMPLEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball catching implement capable of easily fixing a thumb to a desired position in the ball catching implement and securing a sense of fitting for a long period without frequently having to adjust the mounting position of a member for thumb fixation. SOLUTION: The ball catching implement is provided with an outer skin; an inner skin 11; and an elastic member 14. The outer skin is formed by sewing a ball receiving surface skin to a back surface skin. The inner skin 11 is formed by sewing a palm member 12, inserted in the outer skin and positioned to the side of the ball receiving surface skin, to a hand back member 13, positioned to the side of the back surface skin, and has a plurality of finger bags including a thumb bag 2A for receiving a user's thumb. The elastic member 14 is fixed to the hand back member 13, which forms part of the thumb bag 2A, and extended in such a way as to reach one end of the thumb bag 2A to its other end in a width direction along the hand back member 13 to fix the user's thumb in the thumb bag 2A.
