Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-hydrogen type coated electrode, which improves the fatigue strength of a weld metal by lowering the martensite starting temperature of the weld metal, prevents a hot crack of a bead, and optimizes the mechanical characteristics of the weld metal, and furthermore by which an excellent bead shape is obtained due to stabilization of an arc and optimization of physical properties of slag. SOLUTION: A steel core wire has a composition, which, based on the total mass of the steel core wire, contains ≤ 0.05 mass% C, ≤ 0.6 mass% Si, ≤ 2 mass% Mn, 5-14 mass% Ni, 5-14 mass% Cr, 20-200 mass ppm O, and ≤ 200 mass ppm N, is regulated to ≤ 0.010 mass ppm P and ≤ 0.010 mass ppm S, and has the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. A coating agent has a composition, which, based on the total mass of the coating agent, 30-60 mass% metallic carbonate and 10-30 mass% metallic fluoride. The low-hydrogen type coated electrode is manufactured by coating the steel core wire with the coating agent in such a manner that the ratio of the coating agent to the total mass of the electrode is 25-45 mass%.
