PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic printer especially consumables are exchangeable. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic printer is equipped with a 1st door for attaching/detaching a developing device, a 2nd door for attaching/detaching a photoreceptor drum unit, a door lock means setting the 2nd door so as not to be opened in a state where the 1st door is closed, and a retreat means making the developing device retreat to a position where it does not interfere with a photoreceptor drum when the photoreceptor drum unit is attached/detached interlocked with the opening operation of the 1st door. Thus, possibility that the photoreceptor drum is damaged by mutual interference at the time of attaching/detaching the developing device and the photoreceptor drum is reduced. Then, possibility that the photoreceptor drum is damaged in the attaching/detaching stage of the developing device and the photoreceptor drum unit is reduced by combining the actions of the retreat means and the door lock means. Furthermore, the photoreceptor drum is prevented from being damaged by interference with a pre-transfer destaticizing lens by moving the pre-transfer destaticizing lens together to the retreat position when the developing device is made to retreat by the retreat means.
