Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a driving waveform of good light emission efficiency is obtained by synthesizing a plurality of voltage waveforms, however a plurality of power source voltages and a plurality of switching function element are needed for such synthesis and are costly and in addition, just one time of discharge is possible during a discharge period and there are limits in the improvement of light emission luminance. SOLUTION: The display device is constituted in such a way that a capacitor is charged through a coil and a diode from a single power source, then the connection of a low-voltage terminal of the capacitor is changed to the single power source and superposed, the boosted voltage is applied to a panel electrode to perform initial discharge, afterward the connection of the low-voltage terminal of the capacitor is changed to a reference voltage side, then the panel discharge of the second time is performed by again performing the charging through the capacitor and the diode from the signal power source and again raising the capacitor voltage by the charge continuation current of the coil.
