WATER CUT-OFF DEVICE AND WATER CUT-OFF METHOD FOR SHIELD MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive water cut-off device and a water cut-off method for a shield machine, capable of providing the sufficient water cut-off function, even if there is a recess-projection of an outside surface of the shield machine, without requiring a separate exclusive device, by moving the shield machine and a water cut-off member together. SOLUTION: This water cut-off device is used when pulling out the shield machine arriving at a shaft into the shaft; and is composed of a fixed cylinder 1 having one end of the cylinder installed on the peripheral edge 3a of an arrival port 3 on the inside of the shaft, and a movable cylindrical body 10 for moving in response to an advance of the shield machine, in a state of slidably installing one end of the cylinder on a peripheral surface 8 of the fixed cylinder 1, and blocking up a space with an outer peripheral surface 51 of the shield machine 50 arrived in the shaft by the other end of the cylinder.
