Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video correction system and method that provide video correction for an input signal. SOLUTION: The system includes a logarithmic converter (16) that creates a logarithmic representation of the input signal. A configurable corrector/converter (14) comprises a plurality of associated components operative to process the logarithmic representation of the input signal. The configurable corrector/converter (14) produces an output signal having at least one desirable signal characteristic. A switch control (12) selects a configuration for the corrector/converter (14).
