Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficiently amplifying the signal light in an optical repeater, an optical transmission system, and an optical amplification method thereof. SOLUTION: In the optical repeater, the optical transmission system, and the optical amplification method thereof; a plurality of media for optical amplification are arranged in one optical repeater, and a stimulation light supplying means for supplying the stimulation light to each of them is provided. In this configuration, each stimulation light is supplied in the same direction with respect to the signal light, thereby gradually amplifying the signal light by the plurality of media for optical amplification.
