GAS LIGHTER WITH SAFETY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ignition lever on the side of a lighter from being erroneously operated when a fuel is replenished by inverting the lighter by a stopper falling by its self-weight in a guide groove. SOLUTION: This gas lighter comprises the ignition lever on the side thereof. A cam member is installed at the inner upper part of the ignition lever. A longitudinally long guide groove is recessed in the wall surface of a fuel tank on the lower side of the cam member. The spherical stopper is stored in the guide groove so as to be moved by its self-weight and projected from the outer surface of the tank. A side plate of such a length that its lower end part is overlapped with the upper end part of the guide groove is installed on the cam member.
