APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING OUTPUT OF IMAGE SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for correcting the output of an image sensor capable of correcting the output of the image sensor with high accuracy by digitizing the sensor signal of each pixel over the entire input range of an analog / digital converter so as to maintain the performance of digital conversion through the use of a correction value set in advance in a memory as a table to correct the variations in the output characteristics of each pixel wherein the analog / digital converter converts the sensor signal of each pixel outputted from the image sensor in time series into a digital signal. SOLUTION: The apparatus for correcting the output of the image sensor is provided with a means for adjusting the level of an output signal of each pixel so that the level of an output signal of the light shielded pixels provided at the outside region of the light receiving pixels of the image sensor is nearly equal to an input lower limit of the analog / digital converter.
