MEDIA HOLDING DEVICE AND MEDIA DRIVE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type media holding device which prevents slippage between a spindle hub and a recording media without fail. SOLUTION: The device is the media holding device for holding a recording media unit 12 which have a recording media 50 and a media hub 52 arranged on an inner circumferential part of this recording media 50. This media holding device is equipped with a spindle hub 24 on which the recording media unit 12 is mounted, and a motor means 4 for spinning to drive the spindle hub 24 toward a designated direction. A circular concave part 44 is arranged on the spindle hub 24. Mutual displacement prevention material 62 shaped like a character "c", which can elastically retract or expand diameter, is attached to the circular concave part 44. An engaging part is arranged on the mutual displacement prevention material 62.
