Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and program for predicting the number of sales for improving the precision of the predicted number of sales. SOLUTION: This sales number predicting system 11 calculates the number of sales of each main body, and further calculates the number of sales of optional products whose mounting on the main body is judged on the basis of sales result data stored in a sales result information storing part 21. Then, the number of sales of optional products is divided by the number of sales of the main body, and the mounting rate of the optional products is calculated for each main body. Also, when the target number of sales of the main body is received from a user terminal 13 through a network N, the target number of sales is multiplied by the mounting rate of the optional products, and the predicted number of sales of the optional products is calculated.
