SOLUTION: The hoop holder functions to hold a hoop 10 for tensioning a quilt 15 by nipping the quilt 15 in between an inner hoop 11 and an outer hoop 12 by engaging the outer hoop 12 on the outer circumference of the inner hoop 11 for stretching the quilt 15. In this hoop holder, one end of a hoop holder body 16 is provided with a 1st engagement groove 18 to be engaged on the rim 17a of a table 17 or the like, and the other end is provided with a 2nd engagement groove 19 to be engaged on the rim of the hoop 10.
