Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iron based sintered alloy which can exhibit higher lubricating performance than that of a Pb-containing material as a pantograph contact strip for a high speed electric motor vehicle without cotaining Pb giving an adverse effect to the environment. SOLUTION: The iron based sintered alloy is obtained in such a manner that powder raw materials consisting of 8 to 28 wt.% single Cr as a wear resistant and arc resistant component, 2 to 8 wt.% MoS2or WS2as a lubricating component; 0.3 to 5 wt.% Bi as a lubricity strengthening component, and the balance Fe are mixed, thereafter, the powdery mixture is subjected to compression molding, and the same is heated in a nonoxidizing or reducing atmosphere so as to obtain a sintered compact.
