BINARY DATA DETECTING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binary data detecting device and a method which can detect more exactly binary data from an analog signal. SOLUTION: This binary data detecting device comprises an AD converter converting an input analog signal to a digital signal, at least one binarizing part converting the digital signal to binary data, a Viterbi decoder detecting binary data from the digital signal by performing Viterbi decoding, and a level detecting part inputting binary data of at least two or more out of output binary data of output binary data of the Viterbi decoder or the at least one binarizing part, and detecting a level value for Viterbi decoding from the digital signal when the binary data values of at least two or more and being corresponding each other on a time base are coincident mutually by the prescribed numbers or more.
