METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DUST COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a dust cover capable of easily forming, at low cost, a drain passage for draining inundation from a drain hole formed in a spring sheet to the outside of a dust cover in the dust cover used as a coil spring insulator in common. SOLUTION: The dust cover 26 is formed such that comprises the drain passage 42 for draining the inundation to the outside of the dust cover. The drain passage 42 comprises a lateral lower opening 48 opened to the outer peripheral surface of a body tube part 28. When the dust cover 26 is formed, a split die formed of a cope 56, a drag 58, and an intermediate die 60 is used as a molding die 54. In molding, a bar projected part 50 is formed integrally with the dust cover 26 and, after the dust cover 26 is mold-released, the projected part 50 is pulled out to remove from the dust cover 26 so as to open the lower opening 48 closed by the projected part 50.
