Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable intake air system which makes a cooperative control such that the small-diameter sub throttle valve of an engine controls primarily a low speed areas, and a large-diameter main throttle valve opens and closes a middle and high speed areas together with the small-diameter sub throttle valve. SOLUTION: One conventional throttle valve is divided into the small-diameter and large-diameter throttle valves. The divided valves are connected to an air cleaner and a surge tank to be communicated with them by a small-diameter and a large-diameter ducts. The small-diameter throttle valve controls primarily a low speed and low load areas, and the large-diameter valve is cooperatively opened and closed according a speed, an intake air amount, a required torque or the like.
