INSTALLATION METHOD FOR STRUCTURE ON WATER AND PONTOON USED IN IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation method for a structure on water and a pontoon used in it for transporting and installing the structure without receiving restriction of height, ensuring stability and safety when transporting and installing it, and performing efficient work when constructing facility on water such as a pier. SOLUTION: In this installation method for the structure on water, structures such as bridge pier, caisson, and jacket manufactured on the ground in advance are transported to an installation section by the pontoon while at least part of them is immersed in water and then installation work is performed. Consequently, transportation and installation work are performed without being restricted so much in height as in a conventional method, and safety is ensured without necessitating a measure for suppressing swing of the structures in long distance transportation such as tour on the ocean.
