Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a metal hydroxide carrying gold or platinum, and to efficiently recover gold or platinum from an aqueous solution of gold or platinum ion. SOLUTION: The metal hydroxide carrying gold or platinum is produced by mixing an aqueous solution of a metal ion with the aqueous solution of gold or platinum ion, co-precipitating the gold or platinum ion with the metal hydroxide and reducing the gold or platinum ion with water.
