MIDDLE PARTITION INSERTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and surely insert a plate-like member 6 between containers 4 conveyed in a plurality of rows in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The device is configured to convey containers 4 in a plurality of rows in the longitudinal direction at prescribed intervals by a conveyance conveyor 2 conveying the containers 4 and a grouping conveyor 20 having engaging members 34 engaged with the front faces of the containers 4 being conveyed by the conveyance conveyor 2 and running at a speed lower than that of the conveyance conveyor 2. In this device, chutes 58 with a contact part 58d in contact with the plate-like member 6 and a passage for dropping the plate-like member 6 downward are moved in synchronization with the containers 4 being conveyed at intervals. The device is provided with a transferring means 72 transferring the plate-like member 6 to the chute 58, and the plate-like member 6 is in contact with the contact part 58d of the chute 58 by the transferring means 72 while the center of gravity thereof is deviated, thereby dropping the plate-like member 6 in the passage of the chute 58 to be inserted between the containers 4 in the longitudinal direction.
