AUTOMATIC BOXING APPARATUS AND ITS PUSHING-IN DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic boxing apparatus which prevents an article from being caught on the lid of an outer packaging box or the like when the article is pushed into the outer packaging box from the upper side. SOLUTION: The automatic boxing apparatus has a push-in device 9 for inserting the article W into the outer packaging box C form the upper side. The push-in device 9 comprises a pair of shutters 13 which bears the article W and approaches and separates horizontally each other to open and close, a push-in plate 14 for pushing down the article W on the shutters 13, an opening member 19 which is placed below the shutters 13 and has an opening 18 for allowing the article W and the push-in plate 14 to pass through, a lifter 15 which is arranged below the opening member 19 and lifts the outer packaging box C to bring it just underneath the opening 18, and flap openers 21 extending downward from the opposite ends of the shutters 13 and further going downward through the opening 18, respectively.
