Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to improve uniformity of a membrane by adjusting the surface tension of the water soluble liquid of an organic luminous medium layer and to control the thickness in wide range and to enable to obtain a desired luminous pattern by preventing generation of leakage current through a laminated conductive polymer layer and by preventing degradation of current efficiency in the manufacture of a passive drive type organic EL element. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element in which at least a transparent conductive layer, a luminous medium layer, and a counter electrode layer that are formed in patterning are laminated on a translucent substrate, a coating liquid for organic electroluminescence which contains at least one kind of surfactant and has a surface tension of 20-40 mN/m is used. Then, at least one layer of luminous medium layers is formed by this coating liquid. Furthermore, if the thickness of the luminous medium layer is made 20-500 nm, a pin-hole hardly occurs and a water repellent treatment is applied on a portion where the transparent conductive layer is not formed on the translucent substrate. Thereby, occurrence of leakage current can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
