Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device composed by joining a first panel and a second panel to each other in their peripheral parts by interlaying a frame body, and having a configuration and a structure hardly causing an airtightness trouble. SOLUTION: This flat display device is composed by joining the first panel CP and the second panel AP to each other in their peripheral parts by interlaying the frame body 30; the first panel CP and the second panel AP are stuck to a first surface of the frame body 30 and a second surface of the frame body 30 by sealing layers 31A and 31B, respectively; and the sealing layers 31A and 31B are each formed of a sealant 32 and spacer particles 33.
