Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of which part on the path from other connection equipment to a control part of own equipment connecting with a serial bus a fault occurs to, when the connection equipment sends and receives data to and from the other connection equipment. SOLUTION: Provided are an LED 1 which illuminates when digital signals are sent and received between a PHY chip 15 and a LINK chip 14 and an LED 2 which illuminates when digital signals are sent and received between the LINK chip 14 and a CPU 11. Consequently, the user can be informed of which part on the path from the other connection equipment (DVD 40 and digital VTR 50) to the CPU 11 of the own equipment (digital television 10) the fault occurrence possibility is high.
