Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily miniaturize a structure of providing a turning force of wheels in a vehicular steering device to steer a vehicle by turning the wheels by utilizing a power source in the vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicular steering device comprises a rack bar 32 which is subjected to straight motion to turning wheels, a pinion shaft 56 across the rack bar, a rack-and-pinion type motion conversion mechanism 55 to convert the rotational motion of the pinion shaft into the straight motion of the rack bar, a rotor 70 parallel to the rack bar, a ball screw 60 to convert the rotational motion of the rotor into the straight motion of the rack bar, and a motor 90 which is coaxial with the pinion shaft to overlap the pinion shaft in the diameter direction in order to perform the straight motion of the rack bar as a result. In addition, a motor 40 is mounted on a steering shaft 30, and motors 58 and 59 are mounted on the rack bar 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
