Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing easily a heat insulating material which is lightweight and is excellent in heat insulation, acoustic absorptivity and workability upon using. SOLUTION: The heat insulating material comprises a non-woven fabric structure consisting of two or more short fiber aggregates having a density of 5-300kg/m3and a thickness of 5-200mm containing a matrix fiber and a low melting point fiber having a melting point lower than that of the matrix fiber in an amount of 5-95wt%, wherein a film having a surface area of 2-300mm wider than that of the non-woven fabric structure is laminated on a part or the whole of the non-woven fabric structure to form a slip thereon.
